Privacy policy
This page explains what data we collect when you use Lane, why we need it and what you can ask us at any time. It is written to actually be read: if anything is unclear, write to us.
Who handles your data
The data controller is Titano Dev Studio, which operates the Lane service and can be reached at the contact details at the bottom of this page. Processing is carried out in accordance with San Marino data protection law.
What we collect
Only what is needed for the service to work:
- Account details: first name, last name, phone number, email address.
- Location: your position while you use the app, so we can tell which services are live where you are, set the pickup point and show you the vehicle approaching.
- Request details: pickup, destination, times, number of passengers and bags, presence of a pet, need for wheelchair space, any notes for the driver.
- Payments: the amount and the outcome of the transaction. Card payments are handled by specialist providers: card numbers do not pass through our systems and are not stored by us.
- Technical data: device type, app version, notification identifier, technical operating logs.
Why we use it
To deliver the service you requested and connect you with the operator and driver carrying it out; to calculate the price and handle payment; for your safety and the driver's; to answer you when you get in touch; and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
With the operator and driver performing the service, limited to what they need to do it (for example the pickup point and the requirements of the ride). With the technical providers that keep us running: maps and navigation, notification delivery, payment processing, server hosting. With the competent authorities where we are legally required to. Your data is not sold to anyone.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is active and, after closure, for the period needed to meet legal, accounting and tax obligations or to defend a legal claim. After that it is deleted or anonymised.
Location and phone permissions
We need your location while you are using the service. You can withdraw the permission at any time in your phone settings: some features, such as suggesting the nearest stop or showing the vehicle on its way, will stop working.
Your rights
At any time you can ask us to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its processing, receive it in a readable format, or object to certain uses. We reply as soon as we can at the contact details below.
Cookies on this site
This site uses a single technical cookie, to remember the language you chose. We do not use profiling cookies and we do not track your browsing for advertising purposes.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material we will update this page and, where the change affects you directly, we will flag it in the app as well.
